Rift Africa is the creative soul and design house of Rift Valley Leather, a Kenyan company with roots established on 11 March 2009.

What began as a small studio has grown into a dedicated team of designers and artisans working from our workshop in Hardy, Karen. Here, we develop and manufacture high–quality leather and canvas goods that are designed to travel far beyond Nairobi—yet always carry its spirit. Every piece is made to be carried, used, and relied on every day.

OUR MATERIALS

We work exclusively with premium Kenyan leathers, meticulously selected as a byproduct of the food sector, reinforcing our commitment to responsible, zero-waste luxury. In close collaboration with our factory, we select only the finest skins and partner solely with trusted local tanneries to ensure uncompromising quality and longevity.

OUR CRAFT

With a legacy spanning seventeen years, we apply traditional techniques with rigorous, modern precision. Each bag is cut, stitched, and finished according to the exacting standards of fine leatherwork, resulting in pieces made to be carried and cherished for years.
